Glasgow’s letting specialist keeps things moving in times of crisis

The last few weeks have been hard on everyone as we have all shifted from a physical to a virtual world.  In the property management industry landlords, tenants and letting agents have been left with the dilemma of how to manage their property letting processes without physical viewings and following the correct procedures around tenant check-in.

We know how important it is for people to have a roof over their heads and for landlords to bring in a regular income to pay the mortgage on their property, that we had to think quickly about how we would turn our physical activities into virtual ones and at the same time keep our staff safe.

So, we’ve updated our process as follows:

We’re also organising emergency repairs where required.

We spoke to a couple of landlords and a tenant about the level of service during this period.

Moira Cain-Leon who has just bought her first buy-to-let property said, As a first time landlord, and being a little concerned about engaging in something I knew little about, I found One Stop Properties to be extremely helpful, and willing to go the extra mile to help me through the process.

And during this very difficult time of self-isolation, they have continued to manage my property efficiently and helpfully, which I am very grateful for.”

Landlord David Kennedy said, “Over the last few weeks One Stop Properties have managed to let two of our properties, coping with unexpected emergency repairs, shortcomings in our own documentation, going the extra mile in referencing to allow our new tenants to rent their home while giving us confidence of income in these very uncertain times. Professional, Flexible, Fabulously human. We have total confidence trusting them with our portfolio. Working with them is a genuine pleasure.”

A tenant who moved at the start of the lockdown period said, “The One Stop Properties team provided professional and prompt support to us during these unusual times.  We were grateful to have received our keys and be get settled in before lockdown commenced.”

We all know it’s hard to beat a face to face conversation.  However, with the evolution of technology and the investment we have made in our business process improvements over the last 6 months, we were in an excellent position to get things moving quickly when the UK went into lockdown.

The team are however looking forward to a ‘bit of face to face banter’ with our landlords, contractors and tenants when we come out the other end.
